Just as effective taken internally or used topically. Calendula is number one when there is swollen glands or cysts of any type. It is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal which promotes healing while reducing pain and redness. It is very soothing for inflamed gums, throats, stomach ulcers.
